Harsh blizzards and heavy rains – Slovak telecom towers demand durable security solutions
Wircom has a strong position in the regional telecom market of Slovakia. Their network provides a steady internet access for over 60,000 people living in the Topoľčany area. Wircom utilises a modern data center as well as over 120 telecom towers to distribute data. To ensure that different distribution assets are kept safe and accessible for maintenance, multiple locking points need to be secured and access rights must be carefully planned.

Wircom uses the mechanical ABLOYPROTEC² and electromechanical PROTEC² CLIQ locks to secure assets, doors, gates, and cabinets. For example, the CLIQ system is installed in their data center and ABLOY SUPER WEATHER PROOF padlocks are used at tens of telecom towers. All these products fit into the same master key system, so multiple locks can be opened with less keys. Each employee has their own key and personalized access rights. And if a key gets lost, the key can be marked as lost and its access rights aren't revalidated which reduces the need to rekey locks.
