Shopping centre REDI

REDI is a modern shopping centre in Kalasatama in Helsinki having 160 stores, from clothing and grocery stores to restaurants, health and wellness services, and various entertainment facilities.

Access management of third-party service providers, key management and emergency routes are the daily security challenges in the mall environment. There are more than 3800 locks and 1600 keys used by invariably changing users in REDI. Having mechanical Master Key lost, rekeying of the entire locking system would be significantly costly

Safety, security and usability of the solution were the features why PROTEC² CLIQ was chosen for REDI’s access management system for access routes, public spaces and business premises. PROTEC² CLIQ electromechanical key access rights are upgradable quickly and easily and that increases the level of security significantly. As a key of a new tenant is assigned with the needed access rights, the key is ready for use.

Users regularly update their keys in programming device, keeping the security level high and always up to date. Transactions stored in the log data prevent misuse of the system and simplifies any possible post-transaction investigation.

ABLOY EXIT products were chosen to secure the emergency exit routes, ensuring a quick exit in case of emergency.
