Streamlining operations and delivering security: Croatian Post and Abloy’s successful collaboration
Croatian Post, one of the oldest institutions in the country, has been a key player in delivering essential services since 1848. Every day, its vast network of over 1,000 post offices buzzes with activity, connecting people across cities and towns through express deliveries, financial transactions, and parcel logistics. Whether handling local mail or overseeing international shipments, the Croatian Post’s nearly 9,000 employees work diligently to ensure smooth operations.
As the demands of modern postal services have evolved, so has the need for enhanced security and operational efficiency across its branches.
To address these needs, Croatian Post turned to Abloy’s advanced security solutions, including the innovative ABLOY PROTEC² CLIQ solution. This intelligent locking and access management system enables flexible and secure access, streamlining daily operations across the company’s sprawling network.
“The solution Abloy presented to us significantly improves our business processes, reducing administrative tasks and freeing up time for our employees to focus on more essential tasks. With over 800 employees already using the PROTEC² CLIQ access management solution in 100 branch offices, we have seen tangible benefits in terms of productivity and security”, says Siniša Šukunda, a member of Croatian Post’s management board.
The PROTEC² CLIQ solution by Abloy proved to be an ideal fit. Croatian Post required a solution that could manage various levels of access across different post office sizes while also easing the burden of administration. By allowing for secure access control at multiple levels, PROTEC² CLIQ has significantly enhanced security without increasing complexity.
“In large post offices, we have three access profiles, while in smaller offices, a single profile suffices. This setup allows us to maintain a high level of security without overwhelming our staff with unnecessary administrative duties”, says Krešimir Kužilek, a specialist associate for corporate security at Croatian Post.
The initial implementation of the PROTEC² CLIQ solution by Abloy across 100 post offices has already transformed operations, and Croatian Post plans to expand its use to all branch offices in the coming years. This is just the beginning of a broader collaboration between the two organizations, with plans to integrate Abloy’s mechanical cylinder locks and other systems to further strengthen security and efficiency across the entire network.
“The feedback from the field has been very encouraging. Employees are spending less time managing access codes, allowing them to concentrate on their core tasks. The reduction in manual work has not only increased productivity but also improved the overall working experience”, Šukunda highlights the positive impact this partnership has had.
As both Croatian Post and Abloy look toward the future, they are enthusiastic about the ongoing collaboration.
