When starting with Abloy he knew the brand, of course, and Abloy’s products since those are widely used in Estonia, but when applying, he did not expect to reach the levels that he has!
Tanel started his career at Abloy already 17 years ago in 2006 as a Project Manager. For the next 10 years, he was responsible for technical support, customer relations and making quotations. After that he was promoted to Business Development Manager and soon he took the role of Abloy Baltic Managing Director. Since 2022 he holds the position of Regional Director and at the moment he´s responsible for the Baltics, Caucasus, and Central Asia
The job is challenging, there are constantly some issues that needs to be solved. But Tanel thinks that it is also rewarding. “We help our customers to identify their security weak points and provide solutions to improve their situation by using ABLOYs high security products. We also help our customers in the design process and help them choose locking products that will fulfill their needs in every aspect. We offer peace of mind – high quality and high security products so you do not have to worry about who has access to your sites or if something will happen if a key is lost”, Tanel says with a proud tone in his voice.
Tanel thinks when hiring people, the main thing we should be looking for is the right attitude and state of mind. Technical skills can be taught, but an attitude, the will to make a difference, being ambitious, is something that must be inside yourself.
One thing that Tanel likes about his job that he gets to work in an international company with customers and colleagues spread across the globe. He enjoys a wide range of diversity of cultures and people.
In his free time Tanel likes to do sports, read books, listen to music or ride a bike. He finds it important to have a good work life balance to keep himself happy and motivated.
