After graduating from the University of Oulu from the degree program in telecommunications engineering in 2009, Matti worked as a researcher at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland for a couple of years. His wish to return to his home region of North Karelia came true when he found an open position as a software specialist at Abloy. Thus began a journey of over ten years at Abloy, which has included various roles and responsibilities. Currently, Matti works as a service owner for PULSE expert services.
Over the years, Matti has had the opportunity to work with PULSE and CLIQ locking solutions and influence their development. He finds this aspect highly motivating. He is interested in working with evolving products and directly influencing their functionality.
During his time at Abloy, Matti has appreciated the working style at Abloy. "We have strong opportunities to influence our own work and how it is done and developed in the future," says Matti. Good colleagues have also always been supportive. "We have a great team, and help is always available when needed."
Matti also finds Abloy's career and development opportunities outstanding. "It is possible to move into new roles either domestically or in our export units. In addition, there are many opportunities within the ASSA ABLOY Group."
A balanced relationship between work and leisure is also a great benefit. "On quieter days, you can finish work earlier and go skiing, for example," says Matti.
Nowadays, Matti's free time is largely spent with his family, but it also includes hobbies. Matti is an avid sports fan and actively follows local clubs. Additionally, he enjoys skiing, jogging, and cycling in the nature of Joensuu."
