Continuous innovation and an uncompromising drive to improve, secured the top spot for Abloy in the Finnish Security Awards 2018.
Abloy Oy has received the Security Company of the Year award. The acknowledgment given out by the Turvallisuus & Riskienhallinta security trade journal was announced at the Finnish Security Awards 2018 gala on Wednesday, 10 October.
The award is issued to a company in the security industry that represents and promotes positive business practices, healthy competition and creates added value for its customers through the continuous improvement of operations.
”Abloy’s close to 800 employees in Finland are to thank for this achievement. I would also like to thank our 150 or so distribution partners, who are another vital block in the reliable image of our brand. And finally, I would like to mention Finland’s world-class security community, whose expertise and challenging requirements have enabled us to sell the solutions that we are now supplying to more than 90 countries”, says Abloy’s CEO, Jari Toivanen.
The Finnish Security Awards jury justified its choice as follows:
”Abloy Oy has represented the height of structural security and lock technology for 111 years now. The company is Finland’s largest security company and one of the most successful export companies in the country's history.
Abloy’s Finnish success story abroad is without compare: the company has supplied Finnish security technology to the Louvre in France, State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, British Museum, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Panama Channel and an immense number of other high-security properties. In addition to this, the company’s products are used by countless Finnish households.
Abloy also keeps introducing state-of-the-art innovations to the market, which reflects the company’s uncompromising drive to remain at the forefront of research and development.
Abloy Oy has not achieved its market position by accident. Rather, its success has required persistent and innovative work, committed staff, finely honed strategies, familiarity with different cultures, an understanding for the fragile balance of the modern world and solid Finnish high-tech expertise.
Abloy has succeeded in creating long-term distribution chains with reliable partners, both in Finland and abroad.”
The Turvallisuus & Riskienhallinta journal wishes to draw attention to the exemplary security operations and innovations found across the broad scope of the security industry. For this purpose, the journal gives out the annual Finnish Security Awards. The award was first presented in 2015.
